Prof. Kenny Paterson a new member of the ZISC faculty

We are very pleased to announce that Prof. Kenny Paterson has joined our department as of April 1, 2019 and he becomes a new member of the increasing ZISC faculty!

Prof. Kenny Paterson’s research is in the field of applied cryptography. He will be setting up a new research group called Applied Cryptography at the department and the center. His interests and main contributions lie in the design and analysis of cryptographic systems. His work has demonstrated serious weaknesses in core Internet protocols including TLS, SSH and IPsec, leading to changes being made to international standards.

The appointment of Prof. Kenny Paterson enables the ZISC center to strengthen its research, education and industry collaboration in the areas of applied cryptography, information security and communication security. We are extremely pleased to have such world-class researcher join our center!
